On being asked by the reporters, Emma told that the name Contropussy is the name of a feeling or a cat in the webcomic and this name has not been recognized so far, but she herself coined it! And she gave the credit of the coining the word Contropussy to the song of Prince. She revealed that once she was listening to the song of Prince and he used the word Controversy in that but it seemed to her always that he uses the word ‘Contropussy’. So, being a die-hard fan of the song, she decided to keep the name of her new webcomic as Contropussy.  Henceforth, it was just a misunderstanding of a pop song’s word that lead the innovation giving birth to a cat named Contropussy in the webcomics. Emma explained that the webcomics will be focusing on the emotions of animals and getting deeper, they would really reveal the emotions of human beings shown by the virtue of different opinions of the cat!

And to make matters worse, was the news that the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie would in fact be a remake of the 1992 original low-budget movie, whose script was written by Whedon and which had starred Kristy Swanson, Donald Sutherland, and Luke Perry. It has also been reported that the familiar characters of Angel, Giles, Willow, Xander, Cordelia, or Spike won’t be seen in this new version.

Reportedly, the new movie is planned to have a big-budget, and it will be made in such a way that will ensure that it has plenty of sequels, is made into video games, and even recreated in foreign languages. So, it would not be wrong to say that the new movie of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is not going to be as per the expectations of the fans, but it will be more in keeping with the business aspect of the movie.

This whole outer set of Sunnydale was erected in a lot on Olympic Boulevard, which is situated in Santa Monica, California.

Sunnydale High School, in which Buffy studies, is located on the suburbs of Sunnydale, which is a typical Californian town. This school is supposed to be sitting above the entryway to the demon sphere, named “Hellmouth”.

It is underneath the library of the school, that this domain of supernatural activities and evil breeding is situated. I remember reading somewhere, long time back that, Joss Whedon has referred to Hellmouth as “High school as Hell”, to be one of the most principal metaphors to make up the show, where it is used as huge potential plot structure.

So, for the starting three seasons, Torrance High School, which is in Torrance, California, housed the Sunnydale High School. It is said that the people of Torrance, once protested against the use of loud sounds during night time, prompting a location change. If you recall, this is the same school, the exterior of which, you have seen on variety of films and movies, like Bring it On, She’s All that, Beverly Hills 90210 and also the spoof Not Another Teen Movie etc, all have featured the exterior building of the school.

And not only the school and its library but several other elements of the show have been shot in Torrance as well. Like The Bronze, which is actually the local nightclub, the cemetery in the town, is used in many scenes. Even Buffy’s home where many characters reside in the course of the series is located in Torrance.

However, the college in which later Buffy gets enrolled into, (and is named UC Sunnydale in the show) is actually the UCLA.
