Sarah Michelle Geller aka Sarah Michelle Prinze, is an American actress who was born to Rosellen, a nursery school teacher and Arthur Gellar, a garment worker. She’s of Jewish ancestry. Her parents divorced when she was a teenager so she was raised by her mother on the Upper East Side. Sarah joined Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School on scholarship of New York and the ‘Professional Children’s School’. When she was at 4, she auditioned for ‘An Invasion of Privacy’ and impressed the casting director enough to cast her for the role. Next, she started appearing in several TV commercials and one of such commercials created a controversy.
In 1992, she got her first major break when she landed a role in the serial ‘Swans Crossing’. She’s best known for her performance on vampire dramas ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and its spin off ‘Angel’. For her marvelous performance on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, she has won Teen choice awards, Saturn Award as the Best Genre TV actress, and also a nomination for Golden Globe Award. Sarah also won a Daytime Emmy Award for her character of Kendall Hart on ‘All My Children’. The lady appeared on several horror movies and TV shows, so is known as ‘scream queen’.
